Crusading with the Principal

We only have five more school days and then everyone is off for winter break!  Hopefully your family will be able to visit loved ones and spend quality time with them.  This week’s Crusading with the Principal will include list of the happenings at Casas this upcoming week- hope to see everyone there!!

• FUTURE Parent Title 1 Meeting will be on Tuesday, December 12th.  We will be finalizing plans for the programs that will help families support their FUTURE Leaders!  See website calendar for more details.  All families welcome!!

• Fall Picture Retakes have been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 12th.  This is only for students who missed the original date in October.

• Our Annual Winter Celebration will take place on Thursday, December 14th, from 3:45-5:00.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Please call the Main Office to find out more information.  We look forward to welcoming everyone!

• Middle School: Civics Trips and High School Applications!!!  DUE DATES ARE AROUND THE CORNER!  High school applications are to be submitted in GoCPS by December 22nd.  Registration for Civics Trips is due by January 1st.  Please remember that the dates of these trips have changed this year-they are much earlier.  Please see the handouts on the website for more details (located under the “Parent” menu).

• Student Artwork designed by our middle schoolers is on display at Simone’s Bar in Pilsen (960 W. 18th St.) This is part of an art contest.  Schools from the neighborhood have submitted their students' artwork and the school that gets the most votes will win $500 for their arts program- please get out there to vote!!
