Are you a FUTURE Parent?  Do you have visions and dreams for your student’s future?  Do you have the dedication to help guide your student to that vision, that dream?  Come join us at Casas on Thursday, October 5th, at 4:00 pm, to find out how to become a Casas FUTURE Parent.  

Please make sure you are familiarizing yourself with our website.  This will be our main stream of communication in the coming months.  You will be able to access copies of all important documents and read about upcoming events.  Website translations are available- just scroll to the bottom and select “Spanish” in the “Select Language” box next to the Google symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the webpage:

Also- make sure to follow us on Facebook- Casas- Acero Schools!  We are working to make sure you can see all of the awesome things that are happening at our school!  Be sure to check PowerSchool for grade updates, too.  Log-ins were sent home last week. 

 

FUTURE Leaders- Student Values at Casas

In September, we are having discussions around the first value: Focus.  Focus was selected as a value because in our world today, with so many distractions, it is easy to lose sight of what is important and keeping attention on the central point.  Each day, students will engage in discussion and activities around this value. At the end of the month, students who demonstrated the value of "focus" will be invited to attend a special event.

 

Going Green

Continue to check the website for important dates and information (like our 8th grade parent meeting and our next Casas Boys’ Soccer game!)

Any reminders or information that would traditionally have been sent home in Friday Folders is now accessible on the website.

Before You Go!

  • No School on Friday, September 15th- teachers will be busy working on planning and participating in professional development activities.  
  • “Acknowledgement of Receipt” forms for the Acero Schools Student Handbook must be signed and turned in to the Main Office (a copy is available through the link on the site).
  • Medical Forms and FIIF Forms are due to the Main Office- see Ms. Ramirez for details.
  • 8th Grade Families- GoCPS accounts were created at the end of last school year. If you lost your username/log-in, please call the Main Office. We will have a meeting on Tuesday, 9/26, at 4:00, to discuss next steps in the application process.
